Last year, for the first time ever, the number of women entering medical school in the United States surpassed the number of incoming men. Compare that to 1970, when barely 5 percent of American doctors were women. It’s easy to conclude from this headline-making news that women have reached full equality in the profession, but medical school matriculation is only the beginning of the story.
Jesse Osman has joined the Kansas City Medical Society as Director of Membership and Events. Mr. Osman is an Industry-respected, versatile and results-oriented management professional with several progressive years of success in all aspects of event and meeting services management.
The Kansas City Medical Society held it’s 2018 Summer Social for Johnson and Wyandotte County. The event hosted by Dr. Mark and Mrs. Jill Brady kicked off The Kansas City Medical Society’s summer event series.
Mary Anne Jackson, M.D., has been appointed interim dean of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. Her appointment will begin July 1.
