KCMS Annual Meeting Awards

Is there someone you consider to be deserving of one of the following awards? If so, please let us know!

Here are some award descriptions which may bring to mind someone you would like to nominate:

Lifetime Achievement Award: This is the highest honor awarded by the Kansas City Medical Society. This award is given to a physician who has devoted their life to the practice and study of medicine, and made significant contributions to their field.

Friend of Medicine Award: This award is given to an individual who, although they may not be a physician, has advocated for the good of the medical community.

Member Awards:

  • Patient & Community Advocate Award:to be awarded to a KCMS member who has made significant contributions to helping patients with access to care or improved quality of care.
  • Community Service Award:to be awarded to a KCMS member or physician group practice that has served in community leadership or made a significant contribution to their community.
  • Rising Star Award:to be awarded to a KCMS member who has made significant contributions to medicine, their practice, or to the society early in their career.
  • Innovation Award:to be awarded to a KCMS member or physician group practice that has led innovation in their practice or in the delivery of healthcare.
