Slides from the Population Health Management and Standardized Care in Type 2 Diabetes Event

On November 17th, the Kansas City Medical Society hosted an event to educate physicians on Population Health Management and Standardized Care in Type 2 Diabetes.

This event featured presentations from Qiana Thomason, Vice President, Clinical Operations at Blue KC, and the educators from the Cray Diabetes Center. Patricia Meier, MD, Chief Medical Officer of the Kansas City Regional Office of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, also showed attendees how to access the Quality Payment Program portal to look at specific diabetes quality and patient improvement activities measures.

This was  followed by dinner and a presentation from Dr. Kevin Pantalone, the Appointed Director of Clinical Research for the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. Dr. Pantalone spoke on the development and use of evidence-based, standardized care pathways, and clinical inertia to optimize treatment and medications for patients with Type 2
Diabetes.
